Once components have been marked for repair you can place them on a work order. In the inspection, maintenance, or repair form click the Put on New W.O. button for the component of choice and you will see the component name appear in the Components for Work Order box on the right side of the screen. The work order can be setup for in-house or outside vendors. Select by clicking the button below the Components for Work order box. In-house work orders can be assigned to a department or individual. Outside vendor work orders can be set up as a Request For Quote or Purchase Order.
As each work order is completed you can enter the cost of repairing the components for labor, equipment, and parts. This is added to the history of the machine and can be used in a cost analysis of the machine. It also helps you keep track of the work force by tracking costs of their work and the breakdown frequency of the machines they use.
