Once the
machine is built, an inspection, maintenance or repair form can be created. An inspection form with some or all of the machine's components can be printed for use by the inspector or maintenance personnel. Create an inspection form at the Inspection tab on the Activities screen. You pick the components from the machine's component list and add them to the form list. Select Entire Machine to add all the components to the list. When you have selected the components that you want, create the form by clicking the Create button. The inspection form can be printed blank for the inspector to use during the inspection. The form can then be filled out and returned for data entry. Each component on the inspection form must be marked OK or Repair. If Repair is chosen, one of four priorities must be selected. The priority levels range from Immediate Action Required to Strongly Recommended. If the component has a performance specification, the measurement that is taken during the inspection is entered and a pass/fail result is calculated by the software. OK or Repair is automatically marked depending on the result. An inspection specific note can be entered for each component. When the inspection form is opened the current date is recorded but should be changed to the date of the actual inspection. The inspector's name can be selected from an employee list, if it has been entered there, and stored with the inspection. After all information has been entered, the inspection can be marked closed. When the inspection is closed the information becomes permanent, creating the unalterable documentation required by some regulatory agencies.Click here to view a picture of the screen (292 kb).
