WELCOME
IEA is an industrial supplier,
manufacturer, and service contractor specializing in overhead cranes, materials
handling systems, industrial instrumentation, and process control systems.
Since 1974, we have been providing expert services to industrial and mining
operations in and around the state of New Mexico. Our primary departments are
overhead cranes and hoists, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation.
Overhead Cranes and Hoists - Our crane manufacturing and service department adheres to ANSI B.30, OSHA CRF 1910.179, MSHA, and NEC article 610 standards and codes. We have certified crane inspectors who perform load tests and inspections on cranes around the southwest. We also perform onsite employee safety and familiarization training.
Mechanical Department - The mechanical department is concerned with manufacturing and servicing materials handling systems and other industrial machinery. We have an extensive clientele for whom we inspect, maintain, and repair plant equipment. We have certified welders on staff who aid in the manufacture and installation of the equipment we build. We are also experienced millwrights.
Fabrication & Welding - IEA shop capacities include 5 and 10 ton overhead bridge cranes, GMAW(MIG) , TGAW(TIG), FCAW, SMAW, and SAW welding machines to 400 Amps. Machine shop capacities include 24" diameter turning lathes, end mills and a new 67 x 28" CNC vertical machine center. Our welders are certified per ASME and AWS procedures.
Electrical Department - We employ a staff of journeymen electricians who perform contract and service work for customers in the industrial and mining sectors. We do everything from simple machine controls to plant power wiring. We have experience with power distribution, complex control systems, variable speed drives, programmable logic controllers, computer interfacing and networks.
Instrumentation Department - Our instrumentation department specializes in PLC and PC controlled automation including SCADA, DCS, plant floor automation, and machinery control. We are the Motorola Authorized Value Added Reseller for the New Mexico region (see our line card) and have several years of experience in engineering, programming, installing, and starting up large and small supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. We are also an Intellution V.A.R. and have created and installed Human-Machine-Interfaces for a number of customers. We are capable of creating custom PLC ladder logic, MS Visual Basic, and simple relay logic control systems for almost any process. We also have a deep knowledge of industrial instrumentation from motor protection relays and their components, to PID controllers, to a variety sensors.
CNC Machine Service Department - Many CNC machines are mechanically sound, yet unreliable due to old control systems. IEA retrofits machines with MDSI's open architecture CNC software. We also provide CNC machine service. All of our machine service is documented using IMS9000 (Industrial Maintenance Software).
